Trail Orienteering Electronic Punching System
The system was developed by Libor Forst (CZE), Ján Furucz (SVK) and Martin Locker (CZE) in 2021.
On January 15, 2023 the IOF Council gave the system the final approval for it's usage at any competition including the WTOC. The main advantage against the SI solution is that you don't need any carousels and significantly fewer units is needed. In August 2023, we flew with my wife to organize the first WRE in the U.S. with all the equipment in only two cabin bags... :-)
Warning
Some boxes in new sets (Finland, Norway, Sweden - West) do not react with chips when the chip is lying directly on the surface. We recommend to hold the chip in between your thumb and index finger and use the index finger as a "distance keeper"...

The basic set for event organising can be bought or rented. In both cases write a mail to toe (at) yq.cz. Please, keep in mind that the material for each set has to be ordered individually, so the production takes at least half a year.Every customer can have an individual design of SFI chips:
